What does my first appointment involve?
Please arrive 10 mins earlier to fill in our new patient medical and dental history form, so that we can gather all the information before discussing with our dentist your chief concerns, which we will aim to address first. If time permits, our dentists will perform a thorough exam of your teeth and take some X-rays to make sure we identify all issues in regards to your oral health. We will then provide you with insights about your teeth and oral hygiene, and if required – discuss possible personalised treatment options with you, providing detailed explanations using visuals from photos and X-rays. We don’t just look after you today but we also plan with you for the next 10 years.
How often should I come in for a check up?
At Allenby Gardens Dental, we recommend our patients to come back twice a year to have a regular check up and clean. This can help us to identify problems early and treat the issue when it is easy to manage. It is also important to maintain the healthiness of your teeth and gum.
At what age should I bring my child to the dentist?
We recommend parents to bring their child in for their first visit when their first tooth has come through. This will allow the kid to get used to the dental environment and enjoy a ride in the chair. Our goal is to establish a comfortable and pleasant experience for the child and establish a good impression from a young age, so that we can help guide them towards looking after their oral hygiene together.
