Teeth whitening

Who doesn’t like a bright and lovely smile?

Teeth whitening is stress-free and can even be completed yourself! Truth is – our teeth become stained and discoloured over a period of time from the many varieties of food and drinks available today, and teeth whitening is a simple way of bringing back the confident smile you once had.
We currently offer both an in-house whitening service and an easy take-home whitening kit, and we are here to help!

The in-house whitening procedure consists of a professional applying stress-free treatment for your teeth, and you walk out with a renewed smile. This treatment usually takes approximately 2 hours.

The take-home whitening kit is a great way to whiten your teeth while balancing your busy daily activities, whether this is work, looking after your children or stuck at home during these hard times. The take-home whitening kit allows flexibility and you can do it any time of the day. This whitening kit is custom fitted for you so that the application is comfortable for each application.

It is important to come in for an initial consultation with our dentists before starting any whitening treatment. Any fillings required must be addressed before whitening commences, and if your teeth are very sensitive or if you have gum disease, whitening may not be suitable, however, there are alternatives and our dentist are here to find the best, possible solution with you.

We encourage our patients to come back for regular check up and cleans to maintain the result over a period of time.

What does my first appointment involve?

Please arrive 10 mins earlier to fill in our new patient medical and dental history form, so that we can gather all the information before discussing with our dentist your chief concerns, which we will aim to address first. If time permits, our dentists will perform a thorough exam of your teeth and take some X-rays to make sure we identify all issues in regards to your oral health. We will then provide you with insights about your teeth and oral hygiene, and if required – discuss possible personalised treatment options with you, providing detailed explanations using visuals from photos and X-rays. We don’t just look after you today but we also plan with you for the next 10 years.

How often should I come in for a check up?

At Allenby Gardens Dental, we recommend our patients to come back twice a year to have a regular check up and clean. This can help us to identify problems early and treat the issue when it is easy to manage. It is also important to maintain the healthiness of your teeth and gum.

At what age should I bring my child to the dentist?

We recommend parents to bring their child in for their first visit when their first tooth has come through. This will allow the kid to get used to the dental environment and enjoy a ride in the chair. Our goal is to establish a comfortable and pleasant experience for the child and establish a good impression from a young age, so that we can help guide them towards looking after their oral hygiene together.
